It's just how he personally feels. Some people can just enjoy the moment, but others might feel too uneasy to do so. YQY easily gets insecure, that's why he feels the need to know where he stands.

Technically he could, but that could raise some more questions. He had a lot of information from the system, which Liu Wei would understand, but anyone else would be far more suspicious. And after everything that happened, Yu Qingyu was tired, and probably couldn't think clearly. So, he went for the simplest option - just try to tell the truth. That was the easiest, as he only had one shot at it. Cause if Prince Omar were to ask a question Yu Qingyu didn't know how to answer, he could easily lose all his credibility, and then none of his explanations would work.

That wouldn't lead to them being locked up, as they are both unmarried, and although the guards status is lower, their relationship would still be socially acceptable. Instead, Liu Wei would most likely be ordered to marry the lady-in-waiting... Which, of course, would still be a favorable outcome for Lady Elowen.

He's actually quite aware xD Liu Wei is quite perceptive, so he can pick up on some clues. It's just that he spent most of his time away from society, so he lacks some skills when it comes to socializing. But since he's been forced to interact with people more now that he became a transmigrator, he's been getting better, even if he doesn't necessarily like it.

Delaying was not completing the mission, but rather extending it, so that Yu Qingyu would have more time to finish it. But it was stated at the very beginning that the end goal is to lead to Liu Wei's capture.

It wasn't exactly that the mission had more depth than expected. The original point value of the mission, as well as the final evaluation, are not calculated by 520, but rather by the system which creates the missions. 520 has limited authority, and doesn't have access to all the information, depending on the mission.

It is cruel, but that's the same as killing people who were bitten in a zombie apocalypse. The whole town could be in danger because of him. Of course, Liu Wei's anger is also justified, but I think the situation is more complex than that.

"T-that's the reason?" Yu Qingyu's cheeks flushed a bit. Liu Wei was right - although vampires could drink another vampire's blood, it had no nutritional value. At best, it could help them strengthen up themselves, if the target vampire was a powerful one. But, they would still need to feed on humans afterward. Still, the fact that Liu Wei wanted to stay human just so that he could serve as Yu Qingyu's meal… was enough to make the man want to squeal and roll around on the ground, so much so that he was barely containing himself.
