Silas found a small grove of large trees that offered some cover from the suddenly pouring rain, a natural shelter in which he could lay low and figure out his next moves. As he leaned against the sturdy trunk of a tree, he heard a low growl. At first, he dismissed it as his own stomach acting up again, but as the noise grew louder and more distinct, he knew it was not just his hunger playing tricks on him. Turning his head slowly, Silas came face-to-face with a grotesque sight - a large, mutated jaguar was lurking nearby, its fangs large and terrifying, its mouth large enough to fit Silas's entire head. He froze, trying his best to remain calm and avoid making any sudden movements that might provoke the creature.
