A strange energy flowed into him, healing his wounds. Melissa was using her last power, giving up her life so Silas could live. Silas felt his body healing, but just as the relief washed over him, an intense pain jolted through his entire being. The countdown from Chaos had reached zero. The gurgling sound coming from Silas as he struggled to breathe under the troll's chokehold seemed like a symphony to the Troll King's ears. "I'm starving," Silas groaned, his stomach growling loudly enough to echo through the forest. Spotting a bug on the ground, he scooped it up without a second thought. His mind was so consumed by hunger, he started imagining the bug as a juicy piece of chicken. He looked at the bug for a brief second before popping it into his mouth and beginning to chew. The bug's insides exploded in his mouth, filling it with an unfamiliar, and slightly off-putting taste. - Daniel_qiangard9mthCommented

But it hadn't. "Hmm," Silas thought, "So, I have to create different items each time to level up this skill." This realization didn't deter him, though. Instead, it sparked a new enthusiasm in him to craft more and improve his Craftsman skill. Silas found a small grove of large trees that offered some cover from the suddenly pouring rain, a natural shelter in which he could lay low and figure out his next moves. As he leaned against the sturdy trunk of a tree, he heard a low growl. At first, he dismissed it as his own stomach acting up again, but as the noise grew louder and more distinct, he knew it was not just his hunger playing tricks on him. Turning his head slowly, Silas came face-to-face with a grotesque sight - a large, mutated jaguar was lurking nearby, its fangs large and terrifying, its mouth large enough to fit Silas's entire head. He froze, trying his best to remain calm and avoid making any sudden movements that might provoke the creature. - Daniel_qiangard9mthCommented

Then, the silence of the forest was broken by chirping birds and chattering monkeys. The sudden cacophony seemed to spook the jaguar, which turned tail and darted away. Silas couldn't help but wonder why the jaguar would retreat from mere sounds. He scanned his surroundings, trying to figure out what had caused such a reaction. That's when he saw it. Partially hidden in the tall grass, there was a figure wearing what appeared to be a tribal mask, stealthily creeping towards Silas. A potential threat, or perhaps, the first encounter in his test. Silas blinked, taken aback by the sudden quest notification. He was stunned by the system's ability to adapt so quickly. "Can the system just add new quests on the fly like that?" he murmured to himself, both impressed and a little wary of the potential implications. Nevertheless, this new quest provided him an unexpected opportunity, one he wasn't about to pass up. Silas set to work immediately, ignoring the creeping fatigue and straining his body to the limits. He grunted as he pushed himself harder and harder, his muscles screaming in protest. Hours passed as he kept at it, the cell echoing with his heavy panting and the thumping sound of his body hitting the hard floor.
