Honestly, I didn't expect much from a Walking Dead fanfic with a system, as 99% of the time it just turns the story into nonsense. Still, I gave it a shot and made it to chapter 25, but watching Ethan's constant fussing just got plain boring. As a protagonist, he’s honestly annoying. Making him the community's babysitter while trying to portray him as a "kind savior" surrounded by 90% incompetent people who don't understand it's the apocalypse feels absurd. On top of that, the System turned an ordinary guy into a super-soldier and a genius in just 30 days—allowing him to carry 5 tons in his inventory, manipulate reality through passive perks, and create completely loyal allies who can never betray him and can be upgraded. This would be a great premise for a litRPG in a virtual reality setting, but in a gritty zombie apocalypse, it loses all weight. I don't see any reason to keep reading, but good luck—maybe others will enjoy it!

It feels mediocre to me because there are quite a few Hunter x Hunter fanfics with this exact type of MC progression. The plot trajectory in 85–90% of them is almost identical, and I’ve already read 3 or 4 similar works before (though it was a long time ago on other platforms). Since it's been a while, I don't have specific recommendations off the top of my head right now, but this one just felt too repetitive for me.
