I’ve been looking for a story with mages who aren’t your typical RPG stereotypes for a while now. In a world with magic, why the hell wouldn't they learn how to fight with weapons or develop spells to strengthen their bodies? The author actually thought of this, creating several mage classes, each with their own fighting styles. But they’re still mages at the end of the day, since they have to study the elements and craft mystical powers, keeping the whole concept of what a mage is intact. With solid writing and a decent pace, the protagonist is pretty well-balanced and has layers: sometimes he acts immature, sometimes he doesn’t, and most importantly, he learns from his mistakes. The author also doesn’t try to overcomplicate things so far, and I'd say that really works in his favor.

It's a fun read, really well-written, and has a great pace. The MC is interesting, and his power system has the potential to be incredibly OP (which is awesome!). Unfortunately, the premise is a bit too "classic," and lately, these kinds of books don't get much love on the platform. So, if you're reading this review, please give it a shot and support the author. If the book doesn't get enough of an audience, you can't really blame the author for dropping it.

It’s a good story, with a rare well-written protagonist. Darian isn’t that typical MC who’s super arrogant and always knows everything, solving every problem in a cool and easy way. He’s just a young guy figuring things out bit by bit. In the first chapters, he doesn’t understand anything about his powers or the world, so he hesitates a lot. Not out of fear, but because he feels lost. He does his best to find solutions to his problems; sometimes he acts arrogantly, other times he looks like an idiot… in short, he’s a normal person with flaws. But don’t get it twisted: in the end, the MC always finds a way. What changes is that the path to get there usually takes some pretty weird detours.

I found the main characters really good, especially enjoyed the comedic moments. Bruno is a former villain, more inclined to be considered an anti-hero. He tries to act cleaner, but sometimes his true nature surfaces. Also, it seems like he's not very comfortable trying to be good, providing many moments where he says things with a weird double meaning :D On the other hand, Alm is someone entirely devoted to evil, not caring about anything or anyone to achieve his goals. He's an exaggerated embodiment of some main characters from other books. Despite being the tougher and more impermeable one, the circumstances of his past hit him at his weak point :D In the end, the more wicked of the duo is the one with a more protective side and spares no effort to protect his own. The duo consists of two ancient beings leaning towards evil, finding themselves starting from scratch, and the knowledge of the past hardly helps. With a lot of comedy and blood (which I love :D), it's a 10/10 book.

I like that too. Even though there are still a few chapters available, the beginning of the story was solid and the author did a great job setting up the world and the harem. The chapters are a decent size and nothing feels rushed. I'm curious to see where this story is going, and so far, it's been a very promising start. I'll definitely keep following along to read more.
