This story is okay at first , but 1-it’s not complete, the ending is condensed and doesn’t make sense . The actual story is over 600 chapters. 2-I despise the ML. Idc that he isn’t having an affair with his sister . He still allowed his wife to be tortured by his family , neglected her to the extreme , was indifferent when she lost her child, and allowed his sister to kill her child and then her, even though he is supposedly this super intelligent ceo, secret agent military leader, etc . He is so smart and can figure things out no matter what, but he couldn’t figure out what his sister or family was up to? Ridiculous . He is scum for allowing that to happen to her and she should never take him back no matter what.
Yes he really is stupid. Jane will only ever hate him since he completely destroyed her life simply because she made friends with Nathan online when she was a kid. She didn’t even know who he was, but Vincent still decided to ruin her. Especially since he stole her kid(s), while allowing her to think her kid was dead! What a SOB.
I was really loving the story initially, but it’s getting a bit irritating to accept the FL’s thought process. She initially “loves” Valerie, but seems to quickly give up on him for not very good reasons. He is constantly thinking about her and wanting to save her from Aldric, but also to keep her safe from his mother. She doesn’t even consider that he may have had a reason for denying her at the ball, esp considering his initial reaction! Also, yes the soul swapping thing was not good, but he did it because he loved her and wanted to save her. Meanwhile, Aldric is such a POS. Sure, he doesn’t keep her in a cell, and he saved her life, but he manipulated her, kidnapped her and keeps her as his prisoner, just to use her and he doesn’t care about how she feels at all. Her life is short and he doesn’t mind making her live it out as his prisoner. I don’t like him at all and I don’t want her to end up with him.
I love the book thus far I just hope the emperor gets there in time but even if he doesn’t it’s not like she is a virgin so I don’t believe for a second that would make her stay with him but instead she would be even more determined to get far away from him and hate him forever for violating her
The whole “I’m unworthy of him” attitude from Jane is just annoying at this point because it makes no sense . For her to even contemplate dying in a couple weeks for that reason just sounds silly . Also, the revelations are exceptionally slow and somewhat frustrating . It’s been a great story so far but I’m not liking the character development or pace at this point
I don’t get how Monica can be pretending to be Helena. Jane already confirmed she’s not wearing a mask. I could see how Helena could’ve pretended to be Monica, but not the other way around. Surgery? Weird. But that wouldn’t explain how the real Helena was shot by Jane.
Love this story. Very happy it developed in the direction I hoped in regards to the ML. Only thing I dislike so far is the slow pace of updates:( It is worth waiting for such a great story though:) The author definitely deserves credit for taking a very overused trope and making it seem completely new and unique. As far as the characters go, the General is extremely easy hate. Very full of himself, and really gives a realistic view of how men’s attitudes must have been influenced by having many women all competing for single man’s love, time and attention. I absolutely couldn’t imagine how terrible it must have been for not just the women, but then their children would have to follow suit and compete with each other for their dad’s love and attention, all while watching their moms doing the same, full of animosity and resentment. Sad!!
This is not the typical genr for me, but I began reading and really enjoyed it. The plot keeps you wanting to know what will happen next, and keeps you interested. Some things are frustrating and hard to accept, like a smart CEO/mob boss being stupid enough to be so madly in love with a woman who has too many holes in her story, and odd behavior, but that is a necessary plot point so I’v overlooked it. I just hope we get to the point of understanding what Nathan did to earn such a crazy revenge plot to be carried out against him, and hopefully it’s not all related to something his dad did. We will see.
But who is janes child? Helena thinks Mia is Vincent’s niece. But it appears that Mia is janes, but also Ethan. Idk? There’s way Helena actually had Nathan’s kid. Or the real Monica. Maybe Jane had twins?? Lol.
Idk it seems that Ethan is janes kid, but it also appears that Mia is. Nate is Ethan’ s father though, not Vincent, so idk how to explain that. I also thought that Helena was indeed pretending to be Monica, but the real Monica is the one Jane killed that day. But I def don’t think the real Monica, or Helena, is Ethan’s mom. Helena doesn’t know Mia’s real identity, so Vincent is obviously playing with/using Helena too. Lol crazy plot…
Maybe, that’ the only way I can fathom the kid(s) being Jane and Nathan’s. They already said a dna test said Nate was Ethan’s dad, so did Jane actually give birth to twins, because the insinuation is that Ethan and Mia both resemble Jane, and Vincent said he was sorry for using Mia for his revenge, so she’s not his niece, even Heleana doesn’t seem to know that, and he was super eager to have Mia meet Jane. Idk. A bit of a convoluted plot.
