I loved this chapter. At the same time, I think as soon as Cassie figures out a way to get past the fateless bit, she'll find a way to bring Nephis into the equation.

I did give you more supporting data, I can't help that you don't see it when it's written. All the points I touched upon show at least the wave of the theory. I suspect multiple aspects of numerous plot points and possibilities. While I haven't posted anything in this app and legitimately haven't cared to write for several years now, I used to spend a large amount of time writing. Which typically involves daydreaming, weaving, and creating characters that speak, eat, breathe, and so much. At least, that's my process for writing, and that, in turn, gives a minor amount of insight into others' writing. This story mostly revolves around Sunny with a dash of Nephis and occasionally other characters. Cassia plays a pivotal role in both of their lives and influences their choices. For a very long time now, Sunny has wondered whether or not people in a nightmare are real or just a figment of the spell that serves a purpose. That we keep coming back to that point means there's a great deal more going on. Which then leads to other points that keep getting raised. Where Cassie is concerned, Sunny has compared her to LO49 too many times. They were in the nightmare for a very, very long time. Possibly thousands of years, long enough that the Sybil could be Cassie. Long enough that they became a part of the cycles. Anake mentions her age and how her home was destroyed by the mad prince. She also mentioned that the prince had spared a child. He spared her after asking her a question. At least, that's what she told Sunny and Nephis while not saying it was her. So there's the minor potential for a lot right there. Now, go back to the very beginning of the story. Cassie's predictions nearly always come true to a great degree if she reveals them. The bright castle is a very good point in this regard. This is around the time Cassie realizes that if she speaks it, it increases the chance that what she saw comes true. Now we jump forward to Cassie at home. She mentioned knowing how she would die and where she would be entombed. Cassie would go to great lengths to save her loved ones. How terrible would it be for her to become corrupted and then slay tens of thousands of innocent beings. Never mind attacking someone she loved like Sunny. I imagine it would torment her to do everything to prevent that ending. I could spend a long time going into massive detail, but it's not worth it to me. It's just an idea. Your counter argument is writing ridiculous scenarios instead of considering the whole story. You were arrogant when you chose to respond without ever considering you could be wrong. You want me to build a case to convince you on an idea that is fleeting. Two Cassie's already existed. Why not more?

Looking at her delicate back, he could not help but remember the suffocating despair and cold dread of LO49. The sinister powers of the Transcendent Terror that had consumed the station were eerily similar to what Cassie was now capable of. There were differences, of course, but the resemblance was there as well.

Wow. The arrogance is astounding. You talk about more than a single thread like you haven't read the whole story. Cassie mentions that she knows where she'll be entombed and a bit more about her death. Of course, that is numerous chapters back, then we learn more about Antarctica, the Obel Scale, and the theory that nightmare gates appear because of awakenings and seeds being conquered. There's more to that, but I'm skimming to get to a point. Then there's our introduction to LO49, and that was when my suspension started to take real shape. That grew when LO49 attacked Falcon Scott, and Sunny and the two aquanaughts went to fight her. After the fight, I started questioning time travel theory and considered all the possibilities. Not just with those currently popular or even less known but discussed. Never mind the potential for a new theory altogether, but what about a combination of several or even all of them? It made me wonder about several aspects and the potential of G3 sprinkling all kinds of tidbits from the very beginning. It made me really question why Cassie was so determined to not just fight fate but destroy it. Of course, we get some lip service about how saving the world just happens to line up with Cassie's selfish desires. Which I don't entirely buy, it's possible, but given the circumstances that made her actually say that to Saint Sunless. That makes me suspect a totally different angle. Still, I'm getting off topic. Anyway, it's not just a single thread. it's several I've been paying attention to since the beginning of the story. Almost all the way back at the beginning of the forgotten shore when they were just dreamers. I'm not defensive of the idea because it's just an idea. I'm very aware that I could be very wrong, and that's okay. That's the fun of it all and the point of sharing thoughts and potential theories. What annoyed me is your attitude and condescending nature. The audacity to try and lecture anyone when you're not the author is astonishing. It hurts the Fandom in general when people like you make others feel they can't share thoughts no matter how strange or even ridiculous. I see many I disagree with constantly, but I don't typically respond to them in a condensing manner. I might debate an idea and get into a back and forth, but I try to at least consider the idea. Unlike some. It's probably pointless, though, as the only opinion that matters to you is your own. To-da-loo.

We know that Sunny eventually returns to the river. So it's at least possible. Especially if it's not a seed but actually through the real pyramid. Your stance is that it just doesn't make sense. I've seen writers make some nonsensical events make sense when explained. It's fiction, so anything is possible, and unless you know for a fact, you're just guessing yourself.

I'm glad you know for a fact that you're one hundred percent right. So, save me some time and tell me exactly how it all ends. You and G3 must be twinsies, so you know right?

I could see Sunny writing something along the lines of. "Created by a Forgotten member of the Cohort responsible for defeating the tomb of oblivion's nightmare seed. A member that was forged by Song of the Fallen into a weapon against fate itself."

I suspected that LO49 was Cassie when it was described under the waters of Antarctica. That thought occurred again when they entered nightmare seed. This confirms that suspension for me at least, especially coupled with Cassie's desire to change her future.

At first, I was annoyed by the happy birthday cliffhanger, but then we got Nephis, so I was willing to let it slide. After all, we'd eventually get back to Cassie and Sunny, but then Rain appears, and I immediately get annoyed again. Now I'm actually enjoying this side show, so to speak.

Only a tiny bit was sarcasm, but my primary point is that I was wondering or questioning how it would all transpire. You made it sound as if you knew for a fact what Sunny is thinking or even feeling for that matter. I also can't imagine a way for Sunny to grow into a Supreme without a nightmare seed. At least not outside of it, taking an extreme amount of time. The whole river nightmare was so confusing and enlightening. So, Noctis said it would take centuries to learn all he had learned about sorcery. That implies to me that growing to Supreme would be a true undertaking without a nightmare seed, and Noctis was only at Saint levels. Never mind the info dump our lost priestess of the nightmare spell gave us. So I know it's possible for Sunny to grow into a Supreme, but it's implied that it would take a considerable amount of time. Plus, I have learned that G3 loves his twist and, of course, his cliffhangers.

Fair enough, thanks for the correction.

In truth, Soul Reaper's Aspect Legacy was almost as weird as Sunny's. Although it looked like a weapon, it was not a Memory… instead, it was an Innate Ability. Jet did not need essence, no matter how little, to summon the chilling mist and turn it into a scythe. The mist was simply a part of her soul now.

I suppose since he's now unable to enter nightmares, he'll just have to find the actual river to re-enter the river so he can meet himself in the past. I mean, he did say he'd waited a long time for the conversation and how strange it felt being on the other side. Oh yeah, that's right, the river is inside of the pyramid, which is basically thousands of nightmare seeds. I suppose there still has to be a way in past all those millions of butterflies. Sunny can just turn into a shadow, but I wonder how Neph will join him without burning him to a crisp. Of course, I suppose there's a way to find the bird outside of the pyramid, right? You speak with such conviction. I guess you know how everything is going to go and even end. I do so enjoy speculating. So much potential and possibility!
