Is the MC a sociopath, cause he looks like a textbook example of a sociopath? That leads to another question, will he ever care about his woman, because if not, then sadly I have to quit this novel. Don't misunderstand the story is the peak of the peak, but the personality of the MC disturbs me a lot, so I hope he will change a bit. He can cause a genocide for all I care, but at least let him have feelings (real feelings like, love, affection etc.) for his close ones.

Care to explain why you like Maya, cause it doesn't matter if she has the same interests as Scott when she leaves him and doesn't even fight for him. You better come up with a believable story why she ditched him just like that, (maybe a tumor, that hindered her brain from functioning) cause right now I'm sure 99% of the reader don't like her. Personally she will be always my least favourite heroine, if you could call her even a heroine. If Scott now goes after Maya to save his relationship, I will classify him as outright retarded, it needs two people to fight for a relationship and Maya clearly isn't fighting for it.
