The 35 chapters establish a LOT of information without having to rely too much on info dumps. Otherwise, due to the nature of them in their previous world and the nature of the plot I have planned, there would be a LOT of text describing and dumping. In the way I have it set up, showcasing the events leading up to their Isekai is beneficial in establishing everything. ESPECIALLY since it's a long-running novel. Context matters, and so do the establishing of my key players (Jak Yanda, Mako Kunzite, and Meru). I don't have to set up the world of Black Clover since it already exists but since I'll be bringing over aspects of the MCs original world to add some plot and extra oomph, it's needed. Everything I do is for a reason.
Yes, it's 35 chapters. However, I like building my characters and explaining things. Throwing characters from another world into a world without any buildup is weird to me. It's not going to be for everybody but that's fine. I'm confident in my own writing, writing quality, story, etc. The story is definitely worth giving a chance despite the Prologue length. Just look at how well FrostBitten did with other readers.
What preparation? Sam hasn't prepared for ANY of the eventualities happening to him. Heck, if he was truly scared, he'd just switch to homeschooling or transfer schools.
Yeah. Pick up the random flowers on a subway. Amazing move. 10/10 survival.
Smart man 👏
Roll Credits
This has been a running theme since the beginning of the novel.
"Pale even harder" made me laugh a little. "Turn even paler" is the correct version of this but it's funny enough to ignore 😄.
*and then quickly dash towards it It was very janky reading this paragraph. This would probably flow better? Also, don't come at me. Trying to be of help as a fellow author. Cheers 🍻
But the weight of an unconscious body and the time taken to pull it off.......yeah. It's not that big of a deal. Doesn't affect the plot so 🤷 we keep moving.
So.....he had enough time to not only throw her but also throw himself, but not enough to just run out the building......
The "bodies off" feels a little janky here. Maybe something synonymous with the phrase would fit better?
Cause it's my own Original novel. Instead of bringing an OG character into the anime worlds, I brought anime characters into an OG world. Figured it'd be fun since it hasn't been done often. If interested, you can find NameLess in my profile. If not, this novel covers the world background just fine by itself.
