I think you can only study at 1 of the “high schools” like thors or jenis, but can do further free Ange range education like st Ursula or unverisities and such. Regardless, personally, even ignoring the fondness I have for the school of the main cast, I would go to thors regardless if I was erebonian. In zemuria you gotta know how to scrap, and thors is the best place to learn if you don’t have Gilliath for a father, or were born into circumstances that could get you trained young

Look dreichel and the war of the lions was around 950ish, and he founded Thors a little later. Considering cold steel takes place 1204ish, Thors has only been open around 250 years and not a thousand

Nah I don’t think he got adopted as a noble they same way rean did. He’s referred to as a commoner many times whereas rean isn’t, despite it being known rean was adopted at 5 years old (which no one knew if he was noble born or not, but given how assholish nobles can be most assumed him to be common born)
