Toxic orb strategy with flareon still haunts me
The check-up itself brought no big surprises, but I was happy to note that quite a few of my Pokemon had made visible progress, and I was sure that it wouldn't take long for one or two of them to advance to the next sub-stage or to break through. I told Hestia/Eevee, who was the only member of the Eevee Squad that had yet to evolve as much since she was in a bit of a hurry to advance to the (high) silver stage so that she could evolve to Flareon. - Avyya_Aggarwal3dCommented

They all congratulated me before praising Mothra, which my girl definitely enjoyed. I naturally thanked Jessie, Weiss, and the other girls and we exchanged some more words before the girls made room for the boys. Ace spoke up first, teasing me by calling me a ladies' man before congratulating me on my sparkling new Gym Badge. Yu was next and the others followed suit as well, with Kinji speaking up last. - Avyya_Aggarwal3dCommentedThe Badge itself looked quite interesting. It had the shape of an octagon, but its surface was divided into multiple layers with different colors. The outermost layer was bronze, then followed by a silver layer that had the form of a hexagon. After that came a golden layer shaped like a square, followed by a dark golden triangle. The final piece was a platinum (white/silverish) circle in the center of the triangle. A blue S had been embossed onto that circle along with 3 stars to depict the challenge I overcame to earn the Badge.

Once she was sure that Scizor had gone back to sleep she gave a satisfied nod before taking off into the air. Mothra then began to grow until she reached her maximum size of 24 meters, which was already 50% bigger than her initial maximum a year or so ago. After turning into a giant, Mothra initiated Flare Blitz, lighting up with fire. Seeing her like this, one would think she was a Volcarona, not a Butterfree. Well, if the Volcarona in question was a Giant. - Avyya_Aggarwal3dCommentedShe probably had her reasons for that, but either way, there was nothing anyone could do to change that. You know what, I did not want to tempt fate, so let me rephrase that. There was nothing any of us could do to change that. I did not need Dialga or some other random uber-powerful Pokemon with temporal abilities to show up and go "You sure about that?". Anyway, banishing that scary picture from my mind, I chose to focus on something more productive, like having the last word.

I am sure as mothra gets stronger moves and becomes more proficient, she will be able to defeat pokemon a full stage above her
Since that happened, the excess/extra energy went into the Hyper Beam meaning Scizor was just as exhausted as it had been before its advancement. No, scratch that, Scizor was even more exhausted than before since that Hyper Beam had not just been extra powerful but also extra draining. So yeah, I was not worried about Mothra beating Scizor. "DD, Stan," I kept it simple and Stan appeared on the field. His Intimidate triggered as soon as he did, offsetting part of the Sword Dance that Scizor performed as soon as it appeared. Can she mega evolve scizor even after mega evolving lucario? Or does it have a restriction like only one mega evolution per battle like the games?

Just as I expected, Ryujin's Water Gun, being both mastered and the recipient of both a STAB as well a rain bonus, was powerful enough to destroy Bisharp's Air Slash. In fact, it even continued on to Bisharp, forcing it to dodge out of the way of the attack.

"Stay Sharp, Mark," Stephanie said as she released her Pokemon, which as expected happened to be her Bisharp. "DD, Ryujin," I declared while releasing my dragon onto the field. Both Pokemon immediately executed their opening moves, with Bisharp performing a Sword Dance, while Ryujin started a Dragon Dance. - Avyya_Aggarwal9dCommented"Both Lucario and Arcanine are unable to battle. Please recall your Pokemon and ready your next combatant," the referee announced after waiting for a few seconds. Once he said that both Stephanie and I recalled our Pokemon. "Good job, my boy," I said before putting his ball away. I saw Stephanie whispering something to her ball as well before she replaced it with the Pokeball of her next Pokemon. Meanwhile, I decided to stick to the plan and took out Ryujin/Gyarados' ball.

The starting of the paragraph is a little weird
The Enji that Lucario hit with his club while they split up broke apart, but Lucario did not stop at that and directly moved on to the closest Enji. 'Double Team again, then speed up again,' I ordered and Enji along with his copies, which had nearly halved in number at this point, briefly slowed down since they had to release Extreme Speed for the next bit. Enji released another batch of copies and they all sped up again, this time using Quick Attack, though their reduced speed allowed Lucario to destroy two more Enjis. - Avyya_Aggarwal9dCommentedNearly as soon as I gave the command, fire gathered in Enji's mouth/throat, and a second later he released a small volley of fire marbles. I clenched my hand/fist in elation when Lucario released a bunch of fire marbles as well instead of teleporting out of the way, which indicated that we successfully changed the target of Copycat from Teleport to Ember.

He was forced to then Teleport away to dodge the Focus Blast that passed through his previous position. "Copy," Stephanie directly followed up, and I had to suppress the urge to curse.

Lucario met Enji's gaze and returned the favor. While the two Pokemon were staring at each other, the referee gave the starting signal, and as soon as he did that, both Pokemon sprang into action.

Hence I decided to let him do as much damage he could to Lucario as he could before going down. Who knew, maybe if he got lucky he would be able to take Lucario down with him. 'Wrap Lucario up and use Lava Plume followed by another Steam Eruption. Finally, try to cook him with Heat Wave,' I instructed Ignis telepathically, and he lunged toward Lucario as soon as I gave the order.

Lucario then actually used the come here/on hand gesture I used to see in fighting movies all the time, obviously provoking Ignis, who released a threatening growl in return. Still, despite being obviously pissed at Lucario, Ignis did not mindlessly charge at him, which put a proud smile on my face.
