Just thought I'd stop by and let everyone know I haven't forgotten about this novel. I worked on the next chapter a little bit this weekend. I think I might start getting back to writing in earnest soon. Not sure yet if I want to go back to posting chapters as soon as I finish them or build up a bunch in advance.

Sunday. If i'm going to be honest, I'm starting to feel a little burnt out writing this. I don't know if this is normal for writers, but it takes me a long time to write each chapter. Many times i'll get 500+ words in and not like what i've done so far so I just start over. Don't get me wrong, I definitely won't drop it as I've spent way to much time on it to not finish, but I might eventually decide to take a break / hiatus.

You're absolutely right. I completely forgot about Nanahoshi. (You're also right that she's not the person at the door lol). I made a quick update to the chapter to include her, thanks for reminding me. For some reason, I find interactions with Nanahoshi especially difficult to write, but honestly I am going to have to start including her more as she really is a major character in the main story.

Rudy gave the sword that can fire magic projectile's to Paul. He's also storing Kajakut in one of the crates in his room at the research facility. Maybe I should have had one of Gal's group notice the sword leaning against the wall or something when they passed through.

It's more a matter of their personalities, at lest in my opinion. Eris, especially in her younger years, had blind and unyielding confidence in Rudeus. Sylphy just seems more likely to worry about her loved ones, even when she is confident in their abilities. Also, remember that this Eris never had the incident with Orsted to shatter her confidence.

Yep. He's 14. It's hard to say when exactly he turns 15 b/c as far as I know his birthday is never revealed, but I'm going to go with him being nearly 15 at this point.

KB101GTO is correct in that Badigadi's estimation of Sylphiette is only an assumption because he does not have the magic power eye. Honestly, you bring up very valid points. While it is true that this fanfic's version of Sylphy has a much larger mana pool than Canon Sylphy, that doesn't mean that she's at the same level as Canon Rudeus. My reasoning for her to have developed a much larger mana pool this time around is thanks to Oldeus' knowledge of how your mana pool increases and the fact that he intentionally went out of his way to get Sylphiette to practice mana constantly while she was young. If you recall, Rudeus gave Sylphiette a training routine to follow from the age of five and before leaving for Roa he reminded her to faithfully continue the routine after he left. This is why she would have developed a much larger mana pool this time around.

I'm not happy with how this most recent chapter is turning out so I decided to entirely rewrite it. I'd rather be late posting than compromise on the quality. Next chapter will likely be posted later tonight or possibly tomorrow depending on how long it takes me.
