This book was very good and I enjoyed it a lot but I did not understand some parts honestly

I know she was going to get caught
She had to find a blacksmith. Once she felt it was safe, she sneaked out of the room and walked out of the inn while shuffling her feet to avoid the shackles making noise. Finally out of the inn where the old man was nowhere to be seen, Penny started to walk away from the inn to hear the last voice she wanted to hear,

I hope she can make me 😭
She heaved for air as she ran but it looked more as if she were walking. At one point she had also thought to pick up the stone to break the shackle but she had no time for it. The more time she would spend here, there was that much more of a possibility of being caught. If it weren't for the sounds of the crickets, the forest would have been quiet except for the constant chimes of the metal clinking back and forth with her movement.

Did penny get kidnapped or something I’m so confused 😭
The woman had fiery, red hair that had been tied into a braid similar to hers. Only Penny's hair was well-groomed and her dress wet, yet neat. In contrast, this woman's entire appearance could only be described as ragged, the color of her clothes a dirty, faded white. Aside from her hair, the strange woman was average looking in all aspects.

I feel so bad for her 😭😭
"I've heard those words Alex, so many times. It's hard for me to believe you. When I say no, that doesn't mean anything," I whisper, my heart squeezing with agony. I want to look away from him but I can't, my eyes are locked onto his. He's looking at me so intensely, I'm afraid I'll break from his stare.
