If these things had reproduced down here for thousands of years, then this was not one monster in one ruined temple. That would mean a colony of creatures invisible to force. A whole hidden ecosystem of nightmare livestock under Dromund Kaas no worse than Yuuzang Vong, because apparently the galaxy wanted to compete with itself for worst dungeon design.

Julia's hand had found her own wrist and started gripping it. She'd always assumed he had the proper chrome since the first time he had visited Vik's clinic. Hell, even she had cybereyes, so she had never thought to ask, because what kind of netrunner didn't have optics? That was like asking a solo if they owned a gun. It was such a fundamental aspect of being a solo that the question simply didn't exist.

It was exactly what I had asked for, and now that I think about it, it's the ultimate blank canvas. Shit, I didn't need the original combustion engine since there would be no way to keep it fueled, and I was going to rip out the guts anyway and heavily modify the entire car to accept high-octane CHOOH2, give it twin-turbos, maybe even add a procharger or a supercharger. Hell, the plan was to build it back up myself, piece by piece, until it ghost roared louder than anything on the streets of Night City.
