How does the Pokemon world have the exact same calenders as us despite not having an ancient rome? I'm not reaching, Pokemon isn't known for it's consistent world building. There's load of inconsistencies in Pokemon. Names and concepts uniquely attibuted to earth civilizations that shouldn't have occured in a world without them. Plus I didn't even mention mythology in regards to Hercules just the name, and not to be that guy but Hercules isn't greek.

it is weird, If I'm being completely honest I didn't even notice I skipped E until a little while ago. The american school system with their letter grades really made me forget E came after D and before F. You hate to see it...
