Mark, who is Max's family doctor, knew everything from the beginning, but he thought it was not his place to tell Max. However, when Nelly visited his hospital again for a pregnancy test, Mark decided that he would not inform Nelly about her pregnancy results but instead, inform Max because he didn't want to be unfair to his friend.
