I think it's better not to use time travel to the past at all, it never really works well in any movie - except maybe Flashpoint ot Butterfly effect, where messing with time leads to terrible changes to everything..

Honestly, it’s just boring, confusing, and not particularly logical—why this specific time period? Why the inserts from other worlds that don't fit the current events at all (it’s a lazy way to build suspense)? Where is the interaction with other characters? I mean, give me *something* other than just reading about training sessions and the protagonist's internal monologues...
