Behind me, The Deep hovered motionless, his brow furrowed beneath his stupid little aquatic helmet. Something was off. Homelander's voice was the same, the face was the same, but the delivery... that was different. The way he spoke was more grounded, more direct. And his posture? Straighter. His eyes? Sharper. There was a confidence radiating off him that wasn't the usual performative arrogance. This was something deeper. Something dangerous.

And most important of all… I pride myself as an Omniversal Traveler Enjoyer, my objective is not being the strongest or whatever - those things will be consequences - but to enjoy the journey. I would be going against my principles if I stopped myself from enjoying good company for no good reason
