You can not avoid negative comments no matter what you do, someone will always complain. And if you take everyone's opinions, you won't be able to write everything to satisfy everyone's preferences. So, instead of rewriting, just tweak certain chapters with grammar problems. In the end, it's your book, do what you think is the best instead of asking the readers. They will always say, rewrite,s since they want to read something new everytime. There are very few who reads till the end. Most leaves in the midway. Good Luck.
