There are three hundred smaller vessels launched from it, using an unknown energy weapon that disables but does not kill, and the victims are teleported aboard. The terraforming here is almost complete, it will finish up tomorrow, and I can portal the entire array into an uninhabited system to build the new ship without anyone noticing. With that many machines and a large enough asteroid, I can have the ship built in a matter of days. They can even provide it with a breathable atmosphere since they were designed to terraform a planet.

Then we only need to staff the ship, but we don't have to get it anywhere near full. The Volga didn't use Mecha, at least not exactly. They used heavily armoured giant animals with a tank turret sort of command center on their back, bristling with weapons. That was a new spec, as far as Max knew. Instead of two Mecha Regiments and a Field Army, the Destroyer had fifty thousand Interceptors and Orbital Attack Craft accompanying a single reinforced Mecha Regiment, with twice as many Super Heavy Mecha as usual. - syrus_mandell1dCommented"Have you ever met a species known as the Gnomish?
