Very good, great translation and great world building. The MC is particularly astute, and even though he has historian syndrome (I mean, what kind of Chinese would have such a deep and detailed knowledge of 18th-century French and European history?) is a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Great fic, excellent work on the translation. In fact, I consider this fic to be one of the best in the fandom. A little dull at first, but the MC becomes more and more complex, and, dare I say, more 'savory' as time and chapters goes by.
