A great and mature take on Avatar: The last Airbender. The MC is mostly rational, he has to work for his strength and not everything works out immediately. The writing is solid, updates are often, and since it is a translation, will probably continue at a fast pace. There is no classical 'chinese' nonsense like face-slapping, being the cutest, wooing every girl with 'superior' chinese cooking or other stuff like that. I can advise this book to everybody who likes a more mature take on the world.
A great premiss with some problems in the execution The story itself is a standard Isekai into an ancient city. Gods, mythology and magic play no role in it. In summary: The story has a strong first part, where the MC tries to stop Paris from eloping with Helena and kicking of the Trojan war. The second part suffers in comparison. Strength: (mild spoiler warning) - The MC has to overcome the language barrier, which he does in a competent manner - All actors in court politics have defined goals and act rational. None is 'boundlessly loyal', refreshing for me - The author seems to think before making political arguments, which are often reasonable Weaknesses: - Absolute the biggest: Emotional characters. The author makes almost all people into rational-controlled robots that follow an internal script. This is not how people are. History is full of stupid kings making stupid decisions based on greed, envy, lust or similar stuff - The dialogues are unnatural. They often follow the same script: 1. Topic. 2 "Yes" 3 Question 4 Answer. There is no back and forth, no natual language flow, no relationship definition. All dialogue is driven by objectives, which are transparent immediately. Class differences play no role (A daughter of a middle ranking officer speaks to an (unknown) prince as if they are equals) I have read up to chapter 57, but I will probably stop reading here. There is just too little personality in the characters for me to get emotionally invested.
I am late to the party, but there is! It is called 'Children of Refusal' by Cuivorn. I enjoy it a lot.
Disclaimer, I love kingdom building and tech uplifting. So this story should be for me. Unfortunately, there are some glaring weaknesses. 1. The system is inconsistent. It is not clear what resources are available from beginning, what reward is given and how it is earned. Stuff just randomly pops up when needed. 2. The system quests railroad the story. There is no hesitation, no planning, because the quest tells you what to do. 3. The technologies are not believable. I don't have a technical background, but even I know that making steel is difficult and requires long preperation, that muskets require a delicate steel to not just rupture and that to build steel pipes you need a lathe, not only a drill. 4. Medieval power structure is not well represented. The MC is a baron level noble (only leads a village) and is ordered to present himself to the king... why? He isn't a direct vassel of the starks. Still he has the name of the Starks (instead of a believable sideline like Karstarks). There seems to be no other reason than the story wants him to be there. 5. Until chapter 8, we did not get a single fleshed out character. Even the MC shows no clear motivation. That is somewhat justified by the fight for survival, but then he suddenly invents muskets (no cannons yet) and wants to show them to the king. In short, I will stop reading this. There are too many logical faults in the beginning and that promises nothing good for the future. Not a problem in a romance harem fic, but for kingdom-building, you need more. Feedback for the author: I know this sounds harsh, but I hope I did not dishearten you. Here a few tips from my side. - writing kingdom building is hard. Trust me, I tried. Perhaps start with a simpler genre (like adventure) - Getting tech right is hard. If you feel unsure and dont want to spend long time researching, just give the MC a golden finger. Like metalomancy or something. Bam, you just got high quality steel without big story problems. - If you want fast-passed development, start in a decently developed region without harsh threats. It is much more believable than a drunk village smith in the middle of nowhere suddenly building a reliable musket. Or a blast furnace in a day or two. While starving... - Focus on tech is fine, but PLEASE give us reasonable characters. And don't make the MC the lone wolf that everybody is amased by. Those die in medieval settings faster then you can say 'disloyalty!'. Even with tech, the MC cannot do it alone and needs reliable people with a clear motivation on why they follow him. This is essential for kingdom-building. Anyway, I hope you found something useful in my ramblings. And if you read to the end, have a beautiful day!
I dont think that Terrabyte is the true MC. He is more of an enabler. But look how often he appears in the story compared to the players. He is more of a backseat existence that allows for the real plot (players in warhammer) to develop.

Good luck to you! I wish I could give some brilliant advice to help with that pain, but sometimes things just majorly suck until they suck less. All of these projects sound very interesting, and I love history focus. For Warhammer might I suggest the fleet? It will allow the character to become relevant much quicker
