I'm a sucker for these types of novels, this is absolutely one of the better written ones with an incredibly solid translation. The MC is actually funny and likeable, characterizations for existing characters are solid and feel like the source material quality. Plot movement is a little slow but we're only 28 chapters in at the times of this review. My only regret is I found this too early and have to wait for updates. Thank you for the hard work and I look forward to more!

Fantastic story, surprisingly fresh for a pre-Robert’s Rebellion story. Don’t let the smaller chapter count/slower update rate deter you from reading, chapters are lengthy and actually move the story forward compared to the daily 2k chapters of other stories. The MC feels like a believable character in universe and his interaction with others is well done. Thank you for your work and I look forward to more!

Off to a great start! I've always liked the idea of Akikan's stories but the execution always feels a bit poor. This novel takes similar concepts and keeps it (semi) grounded with grammar that has no glaring flaws. Its still early but so far all the characters feel alive, well written and with distinct characteristics. The MC feels compelling but starts off super standoffish, though development takes time and we already see some of it happening in these early chapters. I look forward to more updates! Thanks for writing!

I'm sure there won't be loads of drama but only because of the author. She's already seen what happens when the guy in a "happy" couple imprints, even with all of Mike's reassurances she would logically have doubts (drama). Also, not sure the reciprocation thing is true at all so she would have no reason to be mad at Emily. Multiple shifters imprinted on Toddler/Babies so that wouldn't make sense. It seemed like it was up to the shifter to prove themselves to the imprintee, like in Emily/Sam's case. It's not a two way street, but the devotion/affection and the knowledge that they're your perfect counterpart does the heavy lifting.

I didn't say has, I said will. Its guaranteed she will learn some way or another. She is likely a shifter herself, in which she will learn about imprinting naturally from the tribe, or Mike will eventually come clean himself because he is a loyal, good guy who wouldn't keep a secret like that from her. Either way she is going to find out about her boyfriend having a perfect counterpart out there who is his (near) top priority. You can argue all you want there doesn't have to be romantic component to imprinting but its too unrealistic to not expect loads of drama from it when your tribes history says otherwise.

I’ve enjoyed this novel a lot and will keep reading but this decision was ass and super disappointing. I understand you’ve laid out a framework that Mike isn’t a typical shifter but willpowering away an imprint suspends disbelief too much to be enjoyable. You had a great friendship with Mike and Bella already and then you tainted it with a magical soul bond. And now Leah, who will have heard her cultures belief surrounding shifters and imprints, will have to just be okay with her boyfriend imprinting on another girl? You can hand wave away drama as an author but readers will have much tougher time swallowing it.

Thanks for the rec! I’m actually almost caught up on it. Definitely a fun fic but I wish it would focus more on his personal life instead of jumping from show to show to movie. I like a more balanced approach.

Man, reading your updates are rough. Now I have to go back to finding something else to read and it feels like going from a steak dinner to ramen noodles. Thanks for the update and the hard work!

Amazing story, especially for a twilight fic! Characters feel real and fleshed out, dialogue is crazy entertaining, the right amount of (light) angst/slice of life and best of all, one of the greatest romances (so far) I've read on this site. Thank you for this story and can't wait for more!
