Despite how the synopsis sets your expectation, the MC truly is weak. Not compared to regular people ig so you can’t call him normal. In stories like this where there are super genius’s and regular ones the MC is definitely a regular one. Yet he is surrounded by these super genuises that somehow improve much faster than him. There’s even a moment where he beats what you think is a regular genius only to be almost killed by him in latter chapters. He only survives due to being saved by another super genius of another family. The stupid thing about this is that the stronghold he is apart of isn’t the best one in the world or anything. It’s fairly average. It’s super annoying seeing the setup of the story only to see the MC struggle to match up with these random nobles even though he has a talent that supposedly scared some gods. I genuinely don’t think I can handle reading any more of his fights where he barely wins only to lose later. He’s simply outclassed by almost everyone around him. It’s like he’s a side character of the female lead. Nothing he does really moves the plot forward. He provides information and sometimes helps kill a strong monster. All while trying to get strong enough to save his sister (hate this god awful trope btw) He has all the motivation in the world to get stronger yet improves slower than those around him, friend or foe.

How are his affinities so shitty? Usually stuff like this is affected by the soul. Yet he doesn’t have a single affinity at a level above good. Which seems only 1 tier above fair.

I’m stupid I thought each of these was the name of tier 1-3 but really it describes the 3 stages your mana are in before transition to a new tier. So ig after you rank up you are back at the vapor stage.

Something tells me this man might go for all the various Demi humans. He already has his car girl + he’s probably going to get that half elf gyaru. Next it’s going to be tiger kin. Depending on the universe sometimes demons are considered demi humans. So he wil probably get that vampire girl.

So they aren’t actually tier 2? Or do weapons work in the opposite way the power tier work? Is a tier 2 weapon actually something a tier 8 would use? Or are these weapons sealed until he reaches a required level?
