Yes, I definitely read this book, so don’t confuse me with those people who give it a 5-star rating without even reading it. Since English isn’t my native language, I probably couldn’t express what I meant properly, so let me explain again. What I meant was that when the MC initially bought some healing items for his wife, he received a rebate from the system. As a result, the system rewarded him with even higher-quality healing herbs. My point is that he could have sold the herbs he received, bought even better ones, and then given those to his wife. After that, he would have received an even better rebate from the system. By selling those rewards and repeating the process, he could have continuously upgraded the quality of the herbs. Of course, that’s just my interpretation. Only the author knows whether the system would actually work that way or not. In short, the MC could have used a kind of recycling strategy to generate much greater returns. That isn’t the only reason I say the MC is slow-witted, though. His wife is a former powerhouse. Even if she is crippled, she still possesses all of her knowledge and experience. He could have asked her to train him. Furthermore, despite his wife being a sword master, he chose a spear as his weapon and then spent money hiring a private spear instructor instead of learning from the sword master living in his own house. As for the hidden-power cliché, I can understand that to some extent. However, despite being attacked by assassins on the very day of their wedding, the MC foolishly assumes it was just a random incident. Instead of thinking more deeply about it, he simply brushes it aside. He already knows from his wife’s status screen that she was crippled because of some kind of curse. When you put everything together, it’s obvious that the same powerhouse who crippled his wife is likely still keeping an eye on her, especially considering the assassination attempt. Yet the MC continues to waste time and think in an extremely narrow-minded way when he should be looking much further ahead. Honestly, I could write a lot more, but this is enough. I’m not saying he needs to be a genius, nor does he need to be a reincarnated protagonist. These are simply basic survival instincts. A person in his situation should always remain vigilant and think pragmatically. Anyway, I won’t drag this out any further.

Dude, if you’ve read even a little fanfiction on Webnovel, you should know that you can’t get paid for it. At the same time, I don’t think anyone would pay for a fanfic anyway. If you want a contract, create your own original story.

The author constantly comes up with ridiculous excuses to make the templates useless. First it was the “chakra exhaustion” excuse, and now he keeps pushing the excuse that the MC is untalented. The fact that the templates only provide power and skills is nothing but nonsense. At its core, if the MC doesn’t actually develop, then the templates he possesses are completely meaningless, because without those templates, the MC is absolutely nothing.

I already know there’s no refund—that’s not what I meant. I was talking about stacking. With the money the MC earns, he could buy healthy herbs for his wife and get an even greater return. If the items obtained from refunds can’t be used for his wife, he could use them for others or even for himself. Likewise, as he gets richer, he could provide rare resources for his wife. The same logic applies to other characters as well. The loophole in a system like this is obvious—there’s no reason not to take advantage of it. Ignoring such a benefit would be foolish. Of course, you’re the author and you know best what you want to write, but in series with this kind of refund system, you’d expect the MC to have a much broader perspective. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with this MC. Anyway, that’s all I had to say.

Honestly, there are so many novels in this genre that they’re all either a better or a worse version of each other—and this one falls on the worse side, man. The leveling system is completely nonsensical. The MC has B-rank stats while still being labeled as E-rank, yet the author stubbornly insists he’s still E-rank. So what’s even the difference between B-rank and E-rank then? Apparently not much, because the MC struggles to even defeat an E-rank opponent and has an even harder time facing a heavily injured C-rank hunter—and this happens despite having a B-rank hunter on his side. You can already tell the system is illogical from the inflated rank structure and meaningless stat numbers, because those numbers don’t actually represent anything. On top of that, the MC literally killed over a hundred mixed E-, D-, C-, and even B-rank monsters just to go from E-rank to D-rank—and he did all of this solo. If it’s this difficult even at the lowest levels, then people who hunt in parties would need to kill hundreds, maybe even thousands of monsters, which would require an absurd amount of effort and resources. And when the MC finally advanced to D-rank, the total stat bonus he received was only 190, which is honestly laughably low. Anyway, there’s no need to say more. Seeing series like this just makes me realize once again how great Solo Leveling really is.

This whole mask thing is really ridiculous, man. Why are you role-playing? If you want the character to grow stronger, they need to interact more with other characters. If this keeps going, I’ll delete my 5-star review so respond accordingly, author.”
