Even if the whole book was about his childhood I’d still read it. The author is amazing.

Cuz back in the day child deaths were high so the parents would try to have as many kids as possible so that the ones who survive can take care of their parents when they’re old.

Maybe this means that it was a faked suicide or the original owner could somehow mask the sound.
