Lord_Cane6mthPostedThere's only 5 chapters for now but I'm really looking forward to the development of this story. The concept is fresh and new, the characters have interesting quirks and personalities, and overall the quality of the writing and pacing is very good. There's not much worldbuilding yet but I am sure we'll get to see it more on later chapters. I also like the system here of having Guides and the ODAS. Good luck author and please keep writing

Because the girl is someone he knew and is considered an acquaintance/friend. You don't need to be a detective to be curious and try to learn what happened to someone you knew. Otherwise, there won't be movies about fathers trying to solve their own children's murders/diappearance

If a banana taped on a wall or a pure painting of just blue on a large canvas is considered an art project, then yes. You'd be surprised what is considered as art now after the Dadaism and post-modernist art movement

If Thanos can kill millions in one snap using the Infinity gauntlet, one snap might be all you need to "win" as a god. Depending of which god it is, pf course. But you get my point. If people are still so pressed with a small detail like the time limit thing rather than see the bigger picture which is the STORY, then I don't care anymore.

Those are the only ones. He can use more than one abilities at a time. He simply needs to digest even a little bit of DNA to gain an ability. When the time limit comes, he can just eat more DNA samples of the same person or someone with the same abilities. The list goes on with how overpowered the skill would be if I don't set up these limitations. He can even digest the DNA of a god and he would be a god. What conflict can you make if you don't put some limitations to stuff like that?

The DNA 'runs out' because it gets absorbed, so that means he can't use the skill from that DNA once he had fully absorbed it. But he doesn't lose the skill 'forever'. If he absorbs more DNA from the same person or someone who has the same skill, he regains that skill. For example he absorbs Mermaid A's DNA so he gains Mermaid skill. The amount of Mermaid A's DNA he consumed has a time limit of 30 days. After 30 days he loses the skill. But there comes Mermaid B, and he absorbs Mermaid B's DNA so he gains the Mermaid skill again.
