i just asked chatgpt for a 100 word coment on how ai is trash for writing books AI is trash for writing books because it doesn’t actually understand anything. It mimics patterns, regurgitates tropes, and stitches together sentences that sound right without lived experience behind them. Real books come from obsession, failure, memory, boredom, and risk—things AI doesn’t have. It can’t sit with an idea for years, doubt itself, or rewrite a paragraph because it suddenly feels dishonest. AI writing is smooth but hollow, competent but soulless. It produces text, not literature. At best, it’s a tool for drafts or brainstorming. At worst, it floods the world with polished nothing and calls it creativity.
