Cain is forgetful and indifferent to the lives of man, having experienced the fall of society once before — he feels no connection to the lives and remnants of Earth. Born again, he lacks a sense of purpose and is acting purely off of distorted morals and a feeling that he “should” be doing something. Olive, on the other hand, is the catalyst. Abandoned by her world and people, abused and taken advantage of, seen as no more than a commodity — Olive fuels spite and hatred. Tranquil calm and burning rage. One with a purpose and one without — yet bound as one. Cursed in different ways, they seek refuge from fate.
