I think you got it all wrong. You need 100k souls to be a demon lord seed and depending on your race, capabilities and power you need more to flourish the seed. The reason Rimuru sacrificed an unique skill is because every skill one has decreases the amount of magicules of the user so Great Sage sacrificed an useless unique skill to get more magicules to upgrade into even greater highs. Rimuru didn't get a new unique skill in this story so he didn't lose any of his magicules to upgrade to Raphael. And the others being evolved into demon lords with just 100k souls can be explained as Raphael's efficiency at evolving which even surprised Guy when she evolved Rain and Misery.
