"Kit decides, he simply won't" kit is going to put me in an early grave, oh my god. i couldn't stop cackling because i was both shocked and absolutely delighted that kit just goes, "its a bit much to explain. i dont want to." its always so funny for me to see characters that take one look at a complicated explaination, and instead of justifying not explaining it, theyre just completely honest with themselves. do i feel bad for baz? yes, absolutely. my guy got drunk, somehow ended up in his crush's bed, and is now hungover with his friend refusing to explain a thing (at least immediately). i wouldnt be making eye contact either LOL! it is still incredibly funny from a readers perspective that kit does this though, so im still going to laugh without remorse
Kit opens his mouth. Closes it again. "Ah… Well… You…" Now this was embarrassing… How to explain what happened last night? After a few brief seconds of debating with himself in his mind, Kit decides, he simply won't. Whatever conclusion Baz could come to could hardly be more embarrassing than the truth. theres still life! in the reader sense at least. cant say anything about the local ecosystem of the town, though. youre really delivering on that dark tag, huh? i am VERY worried about everyone and about what the heck is going on. this is a problem ten times larger than all of them, and i dont know how much theyre going to be able to do. its all started, and the stress is already reaching their bottom line. i hope theyre all going to get out of this fine. MAN, i love reading this book. he yuan really delivers on that slow cathartic justice, one step at a time. i feel like a smug cat whenever i read about any of these awful characters getting their cup of karma, even if its just the small bit thatll lead to the big collapse

han shin was SO right when he called bassena a simp, and its extremely hilarious to me how much hes willing to fold (metaphorical) tiny paper cubes as long as its zein thats asking it of him
It was quite endearing that Zein was staring at Bassena during all of this conversation. Perhaps because he knew that among everyone here, Bassena would be the most likely to indulge him on anything—just like the chocolate. It was indeed, however, working out, since there was no way the esper could withhold any information in the presence of those deep blue eyes staring keenly at him.
