No, I think he was being an idiot and played right into the system's hands. He could have sold his herbs to the system and gotten points. And then negotiated. He just spent everything because of panic. Which is unrealistic considering he has a calm mind passive. So I would suggest not breaking his character like this to make the system annoying or for plot reasons. This whole thing was kinda weird for me to read. I'm not saying he can't panic. I'm saying that his passive makes him recover from panic so that situations like this technically wouldn't happen.
