That’s fine but I feel he can apply the mental stuff while he works his chores to boost his thought processing and multitasking ability, which would later improve melded magic casting, casting speed, and also if he decides to go the magic warrior route, it’ll be easier to synergise both systems together, I feel like he can use his magic like how bending works in avatar and how pyrokinesis works in fire force, that’s something that’s never been done and it’s such an obviously easy to apply concept if you can use touki, also I think releasing mana is geared to the palms which is an obvious weakness so he can also train discharging it from his feet like he does with his eyes….

Power fantasy implies cutting off the logic behind the power itself and making it a reality based on plot convenience but my suggestions are generic things that are common knowledge for modern people , the more scientific stuff like nuclear fission and fusion, forces and their applications to causality, etc that can be derived through complex and clever applications of magic could indeed wait till roa, but being efficient with the early years will lend credence to his natural disposition of superiority over the rest of the lot instead of blind arrogance….
