I would love this novel if not for the writting quality and weird mc. Writing quality - the sentences are short and not really well put and linked together. Weird mc - to summarise it - mc decides not to care about contempt of his peers and in the next sentece he grits his teeth so much that his gums bleed. Or he says to a girl why she cares what he's doing a her friend tries to kill him bc he "disrespected" her. She does nothing to stop her friend. Two chapters later she asks the mc for favor and he gives her his home adress like nothing happened.
I've read 50 chapters. I think the concept is cool but author skimps on details and several things do not make sense. Example - Rose is a owner of brothel (she made a brothel so girls can repay their debts) and she cares about the girls a lot, want them to be happy. Then you find out that the girls own the money to a moneylander and that is Rose's daughter. Honestly typical evil scheme to keep the girls working in a brothel (they can't repay debt bc of interest). But then MC comes makes a deal with the moneylander to waive girls debt and starts doing bussiness with her a everyone is completely fine with it. How the f*ck does that make any sense ...
First I should say that I dropped the novel after 100 chapters. I think the writing was nice and I liked the characters but I have few problems with the novel. 1. first problem is the smallest one - it seems a bit erratic. Jumping from one thing to other. But honestly this is small problem and maybe it's only me who thinks this way. 2. main character has nightmares that so far served no purpose. It just bloats the text but you can skip them easily. It's repetitive you won't miss anything of importance. 3. my main problem is the power scaling. You only know the level of main character but in the novel there's no mention of level of his enemies. The reader has no idea how strong the soldiers, bandits or beasts are. It gets seriously weird since in one chapter his wing gets pierced by an arrow shot by common bandit and the main character later slaughters the bandits and two chapters later he is using his wings to block seemingly pretty powerful magic spells. The character alternates between struggling with few common enemies and slaughtering powerful armies being hero of battlefield. 4. fourth problem is still powerscalling but in different way - the main characzer gets stats from eating hearts. That way he should be way stronger than any enemy on his level. Honestly from how it's written when on level 100 he should be at least as strong as level 200. And that is him not really focusing on using this trait. I find it frustrating that he is not gathering stats by eating hearts even when it's the easiest way to grow stronger. Also in the first year of yourney he got around 2000 of each stat. Then he went to train and fight in the forest for 2 years and returned with only 4000 each stat. That means in 800 days he ate only 1000 hearts. He was fighting and training, don't tell me he did not kill at least 3 beasts a day? He easily slaughtered hundreds of soldiers in a day on the battlefield before ... All in all I am a bit pissed bc it could have been great novel if it was just a bit more thought through. And I would love to read it then.
I read around 130 chapters. Mc gets check-in type system where everyday he gets SSS class power. But for some reason this stops on day 5 ... since then author forgot about it probably not to get Mc too op. Mc does not use his SSS class pet to level up at all ... just send her leveling he has a class that gives him her xp as well. Also he has class that gives him bonus xp but still struggles to keep up with levels of others way weaker people? How?Mc in one chapter calls himself not a bad person and says that he abhors rape and the in another chapters he rapes several women just because they attacked him. Also several times author confuses a month with a day ... Overall I think the author does not have enough logic in the novel, just writting every chapter on a whim.
Thanks for great book, captivated me and I finished it within a week.
