You are right. All of it is AI, unfortunately. Such an interesting concept wasted like this. Like... I am sure it would take a lot of time to prompt this and all but the least the author could do, is edit the AI short sentence phrasing and combine them into large sentences. I have to agree. I support the author but this is just ragebaiting. There is absolutely no justification for this. Unfortunately what has happened here is that he became extremely 'on the nose' while writing this arc. Explaining everything and detailing every single scene is not required. This caused chapters to get bloated, but more importantly it led the author to burn out from so much workload. 1 Million words is a lot. Harry Potter series was 1 million words long. And here, this fic is like half finished and we have already crossed a million ages ago. Monk needs to understand that there is absolutely no need to explain every single scene, every single time. Summarize whatever that can be summarized and get over it. Those who can understand, will understand. Those who won't, won't. Just take the last few chapters... do we need this medical mumbo jumbo? Do we need to know the technicalities about Tsunade's treatment or the random and completely unnecessary conversations between him and Genma? Still I hope the best for the author and hope that he/she can get back on their feet.

I think both Itachi and Obito were under confident for a battle with each other. Both these characters have haxxx that can drastically alter the outcome of a fight. None of them should be a 100% sure on defeating the other.
