72 chapters in and I am hooked! I was so engaged I paid for full privilege but now I am stuck waiting for daily updates. I hope the releases are faster than the usual 2 chapters a day. The premise of the story is not unusual. It is your typical reborn cannon fodder storyline. BUT, the journey the author takes us through is more enjoyable than the rest. I like the pace of the story so far. The author has given us some small tastings of humor, I’m waiting for a bigger dose to be released. Love the characters so far even the heroes/heroine-turn-villians, especially that they are not stuck in one category all the time. Worth reading at least I can vouch for the first 72 chapters

问丹朱. It’s available here with an English translation. (Or you can find it elsewhere with a bit of search).

Hands down one of the best manga/manhua I’ve read. It gave me lots of belly chuckles. It’s a pity the artist discontinued the comic just when it was getting juicy. For those who are also allergic to unfinished stories, search for 问丹朱 here or elsewhere and you’ll find the novel this was based off to find your happy ending…depending on which couples you were shipping.

Abrupt incomplete ending with so many unanswered questions! I don’t usually pick up a book that’s in progress because so many stories gets dropped or put on hiatus and it drives me crazy especially after I have invested (emotionally and financially ) into it. This was a great start of a story with many plot twists. The characters could’ve been developed a bit more, their personalities are not quite 1-dimensional but not very rich either. There were a couple times that I thought we had a reached a great ending point, but the storyline just threw in another arc (typical of this genre of novels, I guess)…BUT the ending left a lot to be desired. It was kind of like a cowboy riding off into the sunset with a big to-do list and a can-do attitude.

I picked up this story because someone recommended it. So far (7 chapters in) it’s been entertaining enough for me to want to continue. The pace of the story development is decent, but the background/setting is a bit lacking - so I haven’t felt immersed yet. The characters seem a bit one dimensional so far, but it’s only 7 chapters in, so that could all change soon. The take-home message is that there’s enough for me to want to keep reading for now.
