I understand your point. But it was not his first words, I read the chapter again and saw that the part about his first word was confusing, sorry. Returning to the main point MC showed some intelligence in the Red Waste, and as a child which was killed by blood magic and resurrected when a red comet appeared, which was also prophesied, no one considers him normal. I understand the point, about there being a lack of reaction about him being a Dragonoid. After he was healed, he became a Dragonoid, but with his scales being sort of subtle, so he did not seem like a monster to the people around him, just a child with some scales, that seems like a very strange scale-like birthmark. However, with his overall appearance, they seem sort of cute. So he would also not waste his time trying to seem normal, he wanted to have his ability recognized as soon as possible, to help his mother govern more efficiently in general.
