dude, there are fanfics with slow plot development, and there are this. 90% of the fanfic is stupid water. One trip to Kyoto took something like 8 chapters and it didn't even end, not even a conversation with Yasaka, just a couple dialogs with random OC's. Before that? The MC found out that he's in a family of witches, that he has a super weak gacha system based on achievements, and he's been training a bit, and befriended Akeno. That's it. On the other side, the quality of writing is on a fucking high level, stability of updates? I don't know, I haven't looked closely, but it's definitely not fast, but it's not like 1 chapter per year either. Character design? Well, well done, too bad it's through water. Plus it took somewhere around 1 chapter out of 23 for training sparring, another 2 to explain the setting, there's tons of fucking water in every chapter that can be skipped and you won't lose anything. Less water and higher pace - it would be an easy 5/5
