It's not really a big part of the story so I didn't bother expanding on that, But hey since you asked, it's a hereditary genetic mutation that occurred during the reign of the first king. In real life, there's a similar genetic disorder called "Myostatin-related muscle hypertrophy" characterized by reduced body fat and increased muscle size. Affected individuals have up to twice the usual amount of muscle mass in their bodies. They also tend to have increased muscle strength. In this case however, it occurs only on women.
It depends on the monster's level of intelligence. If it has enough, like this spider, he can communicate with it but the monster can only reply through gestures.
Kinda late but please let me explain... its not exactly "all men are slaves in the other world," they just have lower status compared to women of the same rank/position and its always the female head who controls the family (Queen > King, Duchess > Duke, etc). If you are a commoner, it doesn't matter if you're man, a woman, black, white, asian, you're gonna get curbstomped by nobles.
The prologue was quite interesting, and the way you described the scene as well as the main character's final thoughts was just *chef kiss* fucking good, so I'm going to give it a score of five out of five. My conundrum is trying to figure out what was happening throughout the entire scene, such as whether it was an ambush, a chance encounter, or something else entirely. It seemed as though the details of the scene were all over the place. But every story has its flaws. (or maybe I'm just suffering from some kind of mental lag after the lack of sleep and forcing myself to write for extended periods of time), but it's still a five out of five star. Also, extra points for not glorifying war with heroism, nationalism, and patriotism.
Nah, if you survive you don't get a medal of honor, chances are you only get thrown away in the streets, suffering from the mental scars, and eating scraps to live by.
You're right, at worst it could just blast you apart, maybe in hundreds of pieces while those parts that made direct contact with the artillery get completely blown off. But hey, it's a fic anyways, it doesn't have to be completely realistic.
Hey, another shameless WN author is here to give his novel a five-star rating! This is my second novel, and I hope you guys enjoy it. It's related to my other novel, so feel free to check that one out as well. It would also be great to hear your input (comments, reviews, insults, etc.), as it's hard to tell if you made a mistake unless someone points it out. Feel free to ask me anything related to this novel in the comments of this review.
Thank you for your review! I'll try to add more happy memories from her past life, but there really isn't much considering negative experiences stick more with a person as she grows up and the incident happened after her graduation so she only had about 18 years of normal life before it gets ruined.
From my perspective, it would be a bad idea if the MC starts pestering the monsters that are helping him. They could kill him if they wanted to. It would just cause unnecessary rift in their relations. Other than that though, you are right about the whole finding a powerful monster at the first/second chapter and taming it. I didn't realize how much isekai manga had that trope until I read a couple ones few days ago. Also, thank you for your input. It's my first time writing one, so it's kinda hard to know what I'm doing wrong. So once again, thank you for reading this novel and sharing your input 🙏
Also, I think any form of criticisms are okay. It's my first time writing a novel after all and I might make mistakes or miss something. It's really hard to know you made a mistake if no one points it out so If someone were to add criticism, I think it would be helpful to this novel.
For the first question, the detached parts have their own stats depending on how much the caster wants to share. If, for example, Blacky wants to detach a part of herself to hunt someone, if she gives that part an 80%, she will lose 80% of her stats until that part reunites with the main body. If the armor she creates gets hit, she receives that damage. When she turns into an item, the usable stats depend on what item she turned into and its features. Other stats unrelated to defense, like magic or agility, are ignored if she turns into armor. The Strength stat will increase the physical damage when she turns into an offensive item like a sword or a hammer. Or, in the case of Staffs and Orbs, they will increase magic damage with the Magic stat. If she turns into a body part, for example, Yuuto's arm, he could go one-punch everything on sight depending on how much stats Blacky allocated. Yuuto could also block enemy attacks without losing HP with that arm because it has a separate HP. The only thing impossible is directly increasing his stats like HP, MP, Strength, etc. For the second question, there's nothing he can do other than pretend everything is normal. He can't protect himself against heretics like (Outer God Cultists, Devil Worshippers), Otherworlders like (Heroes, Dragon Lords, Demon Lords, and Chaos Lords), or even other Lesser Celestialsapiens. And Blacky could curb stomp those. Trying to annoy her by asking questions or expressing doubt might cause unnecessary hostility. And for the question of why she's taking care of him, they both have a history. And not just the slime but every world-class monsters in that world. It was what was implied in the chapter where he meets the World Serpent. The serpent had a much deeper reason when it joined the group. I probably will reveal it after the 'Yuuto commits mass murder and genocide arc' or after the '13th outer god reveal/Ophiuchus, The One Above All arc'. It's still a plan, so it's subject to change.
