Been wondering for a while but why is Jake’s work ethic so bad like he been living with them for 2 years now he could have picked up so of their good habits. It’s like he is content to rest on his lorals and Dosent strive for better beyond what is needed.

This whole endorsement is so forced it makes no sense, from what little we got to know about the contract is that they get to basically dictate his career for free cause the author conveniently forgot to tell us how much he gets paid, how long the contract is, and why a promising young driver who btw has a system would sell all his image rights to the first company that throws him a bone. Like Yh I get they basically redbull in your novel but a more flexible deal that is shorter is better that a vague long term contract that no one knows what it says. He basically signed his life away and is thanking them for it because at this point he’s done more for them then they have for him. Like where is his signing bonus? His yearly payment for the deal?
