Aomine being shutdown doesn't correlate in midorima missing a shot doesn't it? are you sure you are not just making claims without evidence? I would really be convinced if there is a time where he did miss that was 'shown' or even at the very least told by other characters in the manga or anime. Kuroko said he never saw midorima miss a shot during season 1 and he went to the try outs during the same time as GoM except Kise who joined later, and kuroko's first official game with them when kuroko manages to get through his psychological problem went to pass the ball to midorima as his 1st assist and that shot went in!
