when authors go MIA like this it's very hard to stay interested, never mind hopeful. sometimes it's better just to give up for a bit and come back later.

you're not wrong, and to be fair to the author later, chapters are an improvement. had a guy on here whose first story had three hundred chapters and three thousand plus errors. His second and third stories had five thousand plus errors, and this was three years after he'd begun writing. by comparison, this isn't the worst as starts go.
