I'd say "MHA : Shoto Todoroki - Modern-day Villain" doesn’t follow canon and adds a lot of AU elements to make it not as dull as most other MHA fics.
Thanks for answering and good luck with writing!
In other words, this fight left me feeling disappointment.
What a mess these last two chapters were. I couldn't understand a half of what was going on. Why did Touya appear out of nowhere with burn marks on his body? Why did he attack Shouta when Rei and a maid where still with him? Did i even get that right, because it was hard to understand what was happening? Why did he back off then? Why return and play those hide and seek games? And the fight that happened afterwards wasn't any less confusing, not to mention that the fight feels too dragged on, especially if they both have gotten injuries that would kill them and they shrug it off as if nothing happened. Why didn’t any of them use killing blows, why prolong the fight and put themself at risk? I hadn't had a clear understanding of the surroundings of the fight, like where was Shouto hiding, under his bed? There was also a lot of unnecessary self repeating. I like this fanfiction, but please author, try to learn how to properly write suspense, and fighting scenes. Hello Future Me has a good lecture on how to write fighting scenes on YouTube if i’m not wrong.

I don't think politics is the main reason why Disney movies are so bad. The problem goes deeper than just what you're talking about. Rather, the reason why there are so many mediocre films is because big companies like Disney are trying to make money rather than make good films. Following similar formulas, instead of giving authors creative freedom.
Maybe this? lol
