I don't thing it went down hill from the looks of it. it only went down hill for you as it didn't got as you expect. and yes the author uses ai but only to a small margin as per the author. you can always leave if it wasn't what you expecting making you think it went down hill. [img=recommend]

technically he is a child. people make the mistake of assuming that you because he as an adult in his previous incarnation that the MC has to act the age of an adult in his previous life. his previous life ended thus resetting his age. besides I think being cringe was the point. he's acting his age as in his physical age. not the age on his previous life. you got to remember that he's currently 12 to 13 years old. yes he will act like an adult if need be but with his friend he'll act his age. besides I like moments like these even if it is cringe at the end of the day ben is having fun and that's all the matters
