Btw what's the reason that spiritual lifeforms aren't a good choice? I mean isn't it fine as long as you can possess your own previous body(shell) or other people's bodies no? As long as it's OP. Cuz technically humans also have a soul, it's just that they die even when it's just their physical body that gets destroyed(at least most humans die) and as a spiritual lifeform you can live on even if you lose a body and can get a new one. I think I skipped a part of the story cuz I don't remember the reason.

Great human feels like the safest and most rational choice. But as a gacha gamer I would've gone for the unnamed race or the last censored one(And later cry cuz it's different from what I imagined it to be T_T). Feels like the last one is super OP (doesn't have a rank(type) or further evolution. And unamed race seems to be related to his own situation(dragon soul, or maybe even affected by his other game characters(bloodborne)). The last 2 seems to have the most potentials yet are extremely risky choices since nothing is known about them.

Not all mcs in cultivation novels are always op. And there is a lot of diversity amongst them, with completely different cultivation systems, races, abilities, legends, etc. There's skill fusing in tensura too lol, reincarnation/transmigration too (That's a genre bro). It's like saying all fantasy stories are isekai with magic cuz there's been a lot of these lately. As long as you're not reading a wish fulfillment cultivation novel written by a third-rate author, the rest are all diverse and interesting with rather deep plots.
