A weeping wound often means a wound that is oozing (most of the time it refers to pus and other clear liquids that cleanse it but it can also mean oozing blood) and her it means that magic in a sense is wounded, not strongly, but enough that it slowly looses more and more 'blood' if that makes any sense ^^

Thanks for pointing this out, that's one of the instances where the lack of text editing tools make it very hard to distinguish normal speech from anything else He didn't say anything , it's Nivins interpretation of his body language ^^
