Its really good with quite decent progression of power, no some ludicrously inflated leveling like some mc with just 3 or 4 year of cultivation reach title douluo or god level. it actually feels more believably done. By the chapter i reach, the first completion just started in dd2 era and mc is already spirit king, level 50+ and he has confidence is fighting even title douluo if he gets pushed hard with all the powers he has and the benefits he got from DD3 era. Tho it should be harem, but for now i only see wang donger (tang_wutong) and gu_yuena to be in and thats on different era worlds. i am not sure how will these 2 era be handled later on, one has its god realm blew up by space-time turbulence and another is restricted due to plot magic.

well idk about volume 9, but can't you meanwhile create side stories for mtw with different pov? Or AU (like how My Vampire System has an AU done by that author as a different novel) for mtw with a different mc to do world building while you think for years about how to continue the main line.
