he's dumb, you don't refuse easy legal money. just because he'll be lucky enough to never get arrested doesn't change the fact that he can have his reputation ruined and be declared a threat that nobody is allowed to interact with.
refusing to join shield is just refusing passive income
pretty much, shield knowing means Hydra knows. which means peace is not an option, so you might as well get paid for the bodies that pile up.
Shield isn't a company, it's a government agency that would get away with a lot worse in current circumstances. But lets look at this like a company anyways, companies don't get sued or offer compensation because an employee made a mistake, this happens when their procedures being followed cause harm to a customer. Black Widow's actions didn’t cause any harm. Thanks to his confidence in his luck, he wasn't even emotionally distressed. Hawkeye is the only one in any real trouble because he's abandoning procedure and orders, regardless of his actual ability to inflict harm in current circumstances
Once again, not how that works. If Nick was the one who wronged him, then yeah. Working for SHIELD would be off the list of possibilities because he'd be Nick's employee. He was brought here for a reason by his Luck, so he clearly needs Shield for something, and neither of the people who wronged him would be the one assigning him missions or giving orders. This incident with Black Widow literally has nothing to do with Shield as an agency and everything to do with MC's Luck
the group is only responsible for the agents acting on their orders, Hawkeye is disobeying orders right now, and Black Widow had reason and logic on her side. She was wrong, but that wasn't her fault at all, the information available favored her course of action.
part of me is questioning free will. Is Hawkeye making the worst choices possible because it'll push Black Widow and Nick Fury into wanting to make amends with Indra in some way? Black Widow is also becoming much more concerned with him now that someone is actively trying to kill him because she brought him to Shield's attention, under circumstances that painted the wrong picture.
that isn't how blame works, SHIELD doesn't get the blame just because an agent made the right call with the information they had, and that info turned out wrong by nothing more than luck. you wouldn’t blame an entire hospital just because a doctor screws up, and you don't blame every firefighter for one firefighter's screw up.
He did everything that would make him look like an enemy agent and cheated her out of 5 million. people have gotten killed for less. Dragging him into danger was only not okay, now that he's mostly a confirmed civilian with sketchy amounts of good luck. the only thing that matters now is how She handles the aftermath of being wrong about him, and so far it's looking pretty good. she's showing much more concern for him.
Black Widow gets a pass, just because he earned the suspicion at that point. But at this point, they know he's just a lucky person that they can't get any information on, which can easily just be his Luck. Hawkeye is the one completely out of line, attempting murder against orders
part of infinity isn't infinity, half of infinity, a quarter of infinity. those are still infinite in upward scale. but part of infinity can be anything, including just 1-100 units of energy at a time
quodpot is a game where the ball (Quod) can explode, eliminating the player controlling it from the game.
that's an actual thing, Americans play Quodpot
nope, let someone else deal with the basket case
image matters too, if your grade goes up and you have a bad image. it's far more believable for you to be cheating or threatening someone into doing the work for you than it is for you to be improving on your own.
this moment will never be beaten, I think fiction just peaked
