As an American I like these footnotes. There's many cultural references I can't fully understand in this story, so these help.
[1] Bian Lian (literally: "Face-Changing") is an ancient Chinese dramatic art that is part of the more general Sichuan opera. Performers wear brightly colored costumes and move to quick, dramatic music. They also wear vividly colored masks, typically depicting well known characters from the opera, which they change from one face to another almost instantaneously with the swipe of a fan, a movement of the head, or wave of the hand. I waited until all the chapters called "Battle of the Crimson Spire" came out because I hate cliff hangers. Then I read them too fast so I paid for privledged. Now here I am with another cliff hanger. A vicious cycle. Absolutely love this story and the other novel Guiltythree has.

I think it would be really interesting to see Sunny through someone else's perspective. He's always so harsh in himself so it's hard for the reader to get a grasp of how other people perceive him. I absolutely love the story though! you've done an incredible job with world building. It only took me 2 days to get to this chapter because I've done nothing but read in my spare time. Thank you so much!
