What about the walls and floors of the apartment? Anyone can drill or blast through them, having a blast door or anything defensive useless unless you reinforce the falls and floors. I’d recommend him getting the apartments/rooms around his so that he can set up cameras and turrets to monitor for any threats. You can make a chapter or two out of it.

It’s a really good novel to read. Most novels that are relevant to this topic are Chinese ones that follow the same pattern/plot with loads of propaganda. It’s good to see a novel go down a different path and explain/ describe the process of how he published his work, from writing it, talking to a journalist, signing a contract, and other things in between, that are often overlooked. I hope that you continue this wonderful novel.

The fanfic is really good in my opinion. It gives the Pokemon world a more realistic view that not a lot of fanfic does. It is easy to follow and understand what is happening and what the MC’s thought pattern is throughout the story. I wish the author would continue the story but it has been 5 months so I ave little hope, which is sad.
