Is it too much to ask for the author to be a little original instead of just blatantly ripping off of a certain light novel? Like…i feel there’s a lot of cool things you could do with a slime other than the stock devour. I’m crossing my fingers that the author at least does something a little different with this skill set…

Maybe it’s just me, but I think Cermin is getting smarter precisely because Ronin isn’t there with him. From how he talks, we can see that he pretty much did all of the thinking for him. Kai hasn’t displayed the same level of intelligence and isn’t privy to the thoughts of others, not to mention the fact that they are split between them. Since Ronin isn’t doing all the work before Cermin even has to fathom using his brain, perhaps he is forced to become much more intelligent. I mean, he has to work out is problems on his own now after all.

As for the quality of the book, I like the character dynamics I’ve set even though I’m not skilled at interaction.
